Master Bedroom Update: The Power of Black Paint

We are big fans of life paced design in the Bolt household. Maybe out of necessity but also because it is the best way to end up with spaces you love and don’t want to totally redo every year or so. This room has gone through several small changes since we moved in almost 3 years ago. Started by painting everything white to create a clean slate. Moved the bed to the opposite wall (and have since kicked ourselves for not setting it up that way from the start). And then one weekend, we painted the wall behind the bed black (well Carbonized by Sherwin Williams to be exact) and that one small thing completely transformed the whole space. We have since done even more changes in this room as we make room for baby #2 who will be sharing this room with us for a while (2 bed/1 bath problems). I cannot wait to share how it looks now. In the meantime, enjoy the power of a little black paint.
